Funkstreife XY - I don't give a damn about my life is an Austrian crime film from 1968 by Hubert Frank with Günther Neutze and Günther Stoll in the leading roles.

action

A serious plane accident occurs at Vienna-Schwechat airport with numerous injuries and deaths. The trauma chaplain Wolf is called to the scene of the event to provide pastoral support to the victims. Among them is a well-dressed man who is only known in gangster circles as "the major". He is a big animal in the underworld. Wolf takes care of the dying man and takes confession from him. Then the "major" dies. Some gang colleagues of the "Major" get wind of these events, especially the ice-cold Schramm, a big number with few scruples in the "Syndicate".

The crooks capture Chaplain Wolf and kidnap him to his nearby parish. You really want to know from him what the dying man said to him. Obviously, it's about a million dollar loot from a heist. But Wolf relies on the confessional secret , which Schramm and his men would not accept as expected. And so begins a sharp interrogation and a painful ordeal, as the gangsters take the chained priest properly to the mangle. Schramm's fat gangster rival Felix soon turns up and is also interested in the whereabouts of the prey. Wolf remains steadfast, meanwhile an insurance detective has latched onto the case. The situation becomes more dramatic when Wolf's younger brother Jürgen gets into trouble (through his own fault) and now also needs the help of the stuck Man of God.
