Hubert Frank

Hubert Frank (actually Hubert Franz Woisetschläger ; born September 27, 1925 in Zlabings ) is an Austrian film director and screenwriter . He was best known for comedies and sex films in the 1970s. He also shot under the pseudonym Jack Regis .

Life

Frank completed an electrical engineering degree in Linz, was then drafted into military service and started writing stories there. In 1953 his first novel was published as a sequel to the Deutsche Illustrierte . After some time as a dramaturge and editor, Frank came to film through producer Heinz Sebek . He later worked for Robert Russ, Reginald Puhl and Artur Brauner . He developed into a specialist in sex films, which were made for Alois Brummer or Karl Spiehs and which were often shot in exotic locations.
