Siegfried Hold

Siegfried Hold (born August 18, 1931 in Johannisburg , East Prussia ; † December 16, 2003 in Innsbruck ) was a German cameraman .

Hold initially worked as an electrical mechanic and turned to film in the early 1950s, where his sister Marianne Hold had started a successful career as an actress. Hold initially served there as a factotum and in 1952 became a camera assistant for the first time during the filming of the production Ferien vom Ich . In this function he was mainly involved in numerous films under cameraman Willy Winterstein in the 1950s, and in 1956 as co-cameraman Winterstein's in the comedy Die stolen Hose .

For the ARD television series Meine Frau Susanne , Hold first took on the role of chief cameraman in 1960. In the 1960s he was behind the camera for many feature films, including five Karl May films . In addition, he made several documentaries and was used in television series.
