The Furggeltihorn is a mountain southwest of Vals in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland with an altitude of 3,043 m above sea level. M. In the south of the summit breaks into a 200-meter-high cliff from the Güfergletscher. In the north the mountain has wide slopes, which represent an ideal ski area. The Länta Hut from the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) is located at the north-western foot of the mountain . The Furggeltihorn is shown together with the Zervreilahorn and Güferhorn on the label of the Valserwasser (see picture in the info box).
Location and surroundings
The Furggeltihorn belongs to the Güferhorn-Fanellhorn Group, a mountain group of the Adula Group in the Adula Alps . The mountain is located entirely in the municipality of Vals. The Furggeltihorn is bordered in the west by the Läntatal and in the east by the Canaltal.
The neighboring peaks include the Zervreilahorn in the north, the Fanellhorn in the east, Güferhorn , Läntahorn and Schwarzhorn in the south and Pizzo di Cassimoi and Pizzo Cassinello in the west. The Güfer Glacier is in the south.
The valley location is Vals, frequent starting points are the Zervreilasee and the Länta hut .
