Gartenberg is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of St. Anton an der Jeßnitz in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980, there were a total of 77 building areas with 31,544 m² and 64 gardens on 163,093 m² in the cadastral community gardens mountain, in 1989/1990 there were 76 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 200 and in 2009/2010 there were 142 buildings on 256 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 584 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 515 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 430 hectares and 674 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 412 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 676 hectares. The average soil climate number of gardens mountain is 12.9 (as of 2010).
