Günter Schmitz (* 1923 ; † January 11, 1996 ) was the first speaker at SWF as well as author , director and speaker for mainly Christian radio plays and audio books such as Five Siblings , The Settlers or Adventures Between Heaven and Earth .

Radio play series
Five siblings
The radio play series about the five siblings (spelling mostly stylized as 5 siblings ) based on the books of the same name by Dieter B. Kabus was published between 1989 and 1990 by Gerth Medien in coproduction with Bella Musica . The cassettes were also released on CD in 2006. Günter Schmitz plays the father of the siblings in the series. The main roles include the voices of Justine Seewald and Katrin Landau , who also worked for radio play authors such as Hanno Herzler and Johannes Osberghaus .

The adventure class
Die Abenteuerklasse is a four-part Christian radio play series that was released on cassette by Gerth Medien in 1991 and 1992 . The series is based on the first four books in the book series of the same name by Damaris Kofmehl . Kofmehl wrote the first book in the series in 1986 at the age of 15. The radio play series, which is now out of print, can be heard online on the Kofmehl website.

Adventure between heaven and earth
Günter Schmitz ran the series Adventures between Heaven and Earth with Biblical Stories from 1992 to 1996. He also plays a father himself who, in conversation with his daughter Katrin, played by Katrin Landau, comes across the stories of the Bible, which is then heard in the listening scene rise up. After his death, Hanno Herzler completed the New Testament series with seven more episodes from 1998, and from 2003 also the stories of the Old Testament with eight additional episodes.

The settlers
Günter Schmitz read and produced four audio books in the series Die Siedler by Janette Oke . Other speakers include Renate Renken and Baldur Seifert. The audio books were published in 1990 as double cassettes in coproduction by the publishers Gerth Medien and ERF-Verlag .
