Life

Osberghaus experienced with 14 years under the proclamation of the Wiehler pastor Arno Pagel a turn to the Christian faith . In 1950 he took over his parents' shoe shop in Wiehl, which he sold in order to complete a theological training at the Mission House Biblical School Wiedenest from 1956 to 1960 . Afterwards he was engaged nationwide as a child evangelist for the German Tent Mission. In 1971 he became an editor at Evangeliums-Rundfunk in Wetzlar . From 1999 to 2004 he was also in charge of children's programs at the Werner Heukelbach Mission in Bergneustadt . Together with Ruth Frey and Else Diehl he founded the “Working Group for Missionary Child Labor”.

Osberghaus wrote seven practical books for working with children and teenagers with a collection of ideas for games, creative activities, puzzles and stories.

He was the father of six children and lived in Wiehl from 1992 until his death in 2017 .
