Głogówko ( German Glogischdorf ) is a village in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural municipality of Kotla (Kuttlau) in the powiat Głogowski (district of Glogau) .
Geographical location
Głogówko is located about twelve kilometers north of the city of Głogów (Glogau) and four kilometers east of the main town Kotla near the border with the Lubusz Voivodeship . Surrounding villages are Kulów (Höckricht) in the north, Leśna Dolina (Stadtforst) in the east, Krzekotówek (Klein Vorwerk) in the south, Moszowice (Moßwitz) in the south-west, Kotla (Kuttlau) in the west and Zakrzów (Sakrau) in the north-west.
From Głogówko a road leads to Droga wojewódzka 319, which runs just under two kilometers west of the village . Głogówko is located on a section of the Łódź – Forst (Lausitz) railway line that is only used for freight traffic , and where the place has a train station.
history
After the First Silesian War in 1742, Głogówko came to the Kingdom of Prussia . There the place was from 1816 to 1945 in the district of Glogau in the administrative district of Liegnitz .
The German name of the place is Glogischdorf . After the border was drawn in the period after the Second World War , the place came under the name of Głogówko to the Republic of Poland . Between 1975 and 1998 the place belonged to the Legnica Voivodeship , after its dissolution as a result of a territorial reform, the place came to the Lower Silesian Voivodeship . In 1999 Głogówko became part of the rural municipality of Kotla in the powiat Głogowski .
