Gabriela Gunčíková (born June 27, 1993 in Kroměříž ) is a Czech singer . She represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm .

life and career

In 2011 she took part in the finale of the second season of the casting show Česko Slovenská SuperStar and won the Newcomer Award at the Český Slavík Awards. Gunčíková went to California in 2013, studied singing at the Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy and became one of the academy's best female students. After training with Ken Tamplin , she became a member of the US Trans-Siberian Orchestra , a mixture of rock band and orchestra, with which she played around 120 concerts on two major tours.

On March 10, 2016, Gunčíková was announced by the Czech TV broadcaster ČT as the country's internally elected representative at the ESC 2016 in Sweden . Your entry I Stand , presented on March 11th, entered the first semifinals on May 10th, 2016. She made it into the final as the first Czech participant and reached 25th place.
