Tereza Kerndlová (born October 6, 1986 in Brno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech singer whose musical styles are popular music and rhythm and blues .

She and her parents started touring Europe on cruise ships at the age of two and a half. Her father is the jazz and swing interpreter Laďa Kerndl , who had long-term engagements on cruise ships. That's why she started school in Montenegro .

She learned to play the flute and piano for several years. Already at the age of eight she performed occasionally with her father, with whom she also sings several duets on his 8th studio album . Kerndlová was in Iva Bittová's choir for five years .

Tereza began her professional music career in 2001 at the age of 15. Together with Tereza Černochová and Helena Zeťová they formed the girls' trio Black Milk . The debut album Modrej dým won the Český slavík in 2002 in the Discovery of the Year category . The follow-up album Sedmkrát was released in 2003. In spring 2005, Black Milk broke up and Tereza Kerndlová recorded her solo album Orchidej , which was released on March 27, 2006. Her second solo album entitled Have Some Fun was released on November 5, 2007. The first single from it was a cover version of the title "Careless Whisper" .

On January 26th, 2008 she won the preliminary decision Eurosong , broadcast live by Czech TV, and represented the Czech Republic with the title song of her album, Have Some Fun , at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade , but was eliminated in the second semi-final of the competition on May 22nd, 2008.

What is less well known is that Kerndlová was a six-time Czech tap dancing champion and achieved international success with a 4th and 6th place at the world championships and as a European champion in this discipline. Kerndlová can also look back on an extensive career as a voice actress. Over the years she has voiced her voice in more than two hundred series and films.
