Gabriele Auenmüller

Gabriele Auenmüller (born June 6, 1951 in Meißen ; † May 18, 2015 in Dresden ) was a German opera singer ( lyric soprano ) and prompter .

Life

Gabriele Auenmüller was the daughter of the composer and conductor Hans Auenmüller . She first studied violin and then had her voice trained by Klara Elfriede Intrau and Günther Leib in Dresden. At the beginning of her career she was engaged at the Volkstheater Halberstadt , where her father held the position of general music director. There she appeared as Sophie in Richard Strauss ' Rosenkavalier (in a production in which other soloists from the Dresden State Opera performed, Ingeborg Zobel as Marschallin and Werner Haseleu as Ochs).

Gabriele Auenmüller herself has worked at the Dresden Opera since 1975 and appeared there as Fatime in Weber's Abu Hassan , Barbarina in Figaro's Wedding , Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni and as Ännchen in Freischütz , Marzelline in Fidelio , Gianetta in love potion . In 1979 she took part in the world premiere of Rainer Kunad's opera Vincent and in 1985 also in Ruth Berghaus ' production of the opera Die Weise von Liebe und Tod des Cornets Christoph Rilke by Siegfried Matthus .

The singer was also valued as a concert soprano, and she made guest appearances at the opera houses in Prague and Budapest and at the Festival de la Cité in Lausanne .

1991 ended Auenmüller her singing career and then worked among others in Bayreuth as of Christian Thielemann prized prompter .

Gabriele Auenmüller's voice can be heard on records from Eterna , Nova and Capriccio ( Symphoniae sacrae by Heinrich Schütz ).
