Gabriella Wilde (born April 8, 1989 in Basingstoke , England ; actually: Gabriella Zanna Vanessa Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe ) is a British actress and model .

Life

Childhood and youth

Gabriella grew up as the daughter of businessman John Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe and former model Vanessa Hubbard. She has a younger sister named Octavie and five half-siblings from previous marriages of her parents. She went to school in Winchester and Berkshire and, after graduating, initially devoted herself to her modeling career, which she had started at school when she was 14.

Work as a model

Gabriella Wilde is one of the top international models. Pictures of her can be found in magazines such as InStyle , Vogue , Nylon and Cosmopolitan . She has been the face of advertising campaigns from Lacoste , Puma , Burberry and others.

Career as an actress

Gabriella made her acting debut in 2009 with a role in the film The Girls of St. Trinian 2 - A Treasure Hunt . In 2010, she made an appearance on an episode of the television series Doctor Who . In 2011 she took on the role of Constance in the literary film adaptation The Three Musketeers and thus celebrated her international breakthrough. Wilde got the role of Sue Snell in the 2013 remake of Carrie - Des Satan's Youngest Daughter - in May 2012 . In 2014 she took on a bigger role as Jade Butterfield in the drama Endless Love . Since 2016 she has also appeared in the British drama and history series Poldark in the role of Caroline Penvenen.

Trivia

Gabriella Wilde temporarily went to Heathfield boarding school in Ascot, where she was suspended for smuggling vodka and changed schools.
