The Galeria Mokotów is one of the largest and most popular Warsaw shopping malls . It is located in the Mokotów district , where it opened in 2000 as the first third-generation shopping mall in Warsaw.

history

The shopping center is located at the intersection of the busy Ulica Wołowska and Aleja Wilanowska . To the north and east, the smaller Ulica Antoniego Uniechowskiego and Ulica Rodziny Hiszpańskich surround the complex. The development company of the Galeria was the Globe Trade Center , which began with the construction of the first part of the facility in the late 1990s. The center was opened in September 2000 and with its integrated leisure facilities was the most modern of its kind in Poland. In 2002 and 2006 the center was expanded to its present size. Effective June 30, 2003, Rodamco Europe (today: Unibail-Rodamco SE) bought 50% of the building and took over management. At that time, the center was valued at USD 166 million. Unibail-Rodamco acquired a further 50% in summer 2011.

Furnishing

The Galeria Mokotów has to the cultivation measures today a lettable area of 62,500 square meters. The approximately 260 shops extend over three floors. The target group is the middle class of the population living in the area. Shops therefore offer brands in the medium and higher price segments. The branded stores include companies such as Benetton , Hollister , Calvin Klein , Escada Sport , Esprit , H&M , Joop , Olsen , Orsay , Lacoste , Levi's , Max Mara , Mexx , Palmers , Pandora, Pal Zileri, Peek & Cloppenburg , Pepe Jeans , Simple, Triumph , Van Laack , Versace Collection or Zara . The cosmetics stores include chains such as Sephora and Douglas .

The grocery anchor tenant is Carrefour , whose supermarket extends over two floors. The food court on the third floor in particular has over 20 restaurants and cafés, including Pizza Hut , McDonald’s and Häagen-Dazs . The entertainment area of ​​the Galeria consists of a multiplex cinema from the Cinema City chain , which operates 14 halls, and the Atomic Bowling Center , which offers 25 bowling lanes, a billiards room, various games equipment and a conference room for 60 people on an area of ​​3,000 square meters. The fitness chain Holmes operates a 1,700 square meter fitness club. Small children can be handed in at a kindergarten called Fikoland . The center's parking garage extends over the entire basement and a four-story section of the facility. It contains 2,400 parking spaces.

The annual number of visitors to the center is around 13 million.
