Galore (English: too much , in abundance ) was and is again a German interview magazine since December 2014. It is published six times a year by the Dortmund-based Dialog Verlag . Well-known people from different areas of pop culture , but also people with moving fate, are interviewed . The interviews are supplemented by photo series.
history
The magazine started with a circulation of 100,000 in January 2003. The magazine contained 40 interviews on 256 pages. The first three issues appeared quarterly, from issue number 4 the magazine appeared every two months. The editor was Michael Lohrmann . From March 2005, Galore appeared monthly with a circulation of 140,000 copies and with a reduced number of interviews and wanted to lure readers with a repositioning to the culture magazine. From issue 37 in spring 2008, it engaged the comic artist Jamiri . With issue 49 in June 2009, the print version of Galore was discontinued; In the internet portal that was activated on July 6, 2009, all interviews in the print edition were initially freely accessible, and a new interview was posted every working day. At the turn of the year 2009/2010 the site was also shut down.
In October 2013 the publisher announced that it would publish an anniversary issue of the magazine on November 22, 2013 with 24 selected interviews. In the issue, conversations with Herbert Grönemeyer , Heiner Geißler , Jonathan Meese , Sven Regener , Jamie Foxx , Justin Timberlake , Mickey Rourke and Günter Wallraff were republished.
A digital edition for iOS and Android was published on December 13, 2013 , which allows the user to select timeless and completely revised interviews from an archive. Ten new interviews are offered every two weeks. With the exception of seven interviews, which are stored free of charge for users of the digital offers upon registration, all other content is subject to a charge.
