action

In 2010, after a nuclear war, chaos reigns in many US cities. The authorities are understaffed and powerless. Gangs have taken power and are ruling with bloody violence. The nuclear fallout has also caused an epidemic that is fatal for those infected. The scientist Dr. Adams is busy trying to find a serum for it.

Los Angeles is under the control of Lucifer's gang. This kidnaps Dr. Adams and his family to get possession of the vaccine and thus gain final control over life and death. When Derek and his brother are ambushed on the street, they kill his brother and put Derek in a gang prison. There he meets the ex-soldier Jared, with whom he breaks out together. Jared's wife and daughter were also murdered by Lucifer's gang. On their vengeance campaign, they make the acquaintance of ex-soldier Alexis, who has lost her sister to Lucifer and joins them.

The destination of the three is Lucifer's headquarters. You free Dr. Adams and his family and bring the serum to safety. They are then mercilessly pursued by Lucifer, with Derek being shot. In the final battle, Alexis and Jared can kill Lucifer and drive to Phoenix with the vital vaccine to rescue infected people.

criticism

"Brutal action film that tries to compensate for its unsuccessful construction with an excess of stunts and effects."

“' The Rattlesnake ' meets ' Mad Max 2 ' at the budget level of a Red Bull commercial in an outrageously constructed, extremely old-fashioned end-of-time quark that still rarely lets boredom arise and largely compensates for script defects in a non-stop stunt festival. Costas Mandylor and ' cyborg ' psycho Vincent Klyn can be found in the leading roles , while the also widely heralded G rappers Ice-T and Coolio die in the first 5 minutes. "
