Gary Alexander (sound engineer)

Gary Alexander (born before 1976) is an American sound engineer .

Life

Alexander began his career in 1976 with the Russ-Meyer - exploitation film Over, under and on . In 1986 he won the Oscar in the Best Sound category for Out of Africa together with Chris Jenkins , Larry Stensvold and Peter Handford . He also won the 1991 BAFTA Film Award in the Best Sound category for The Fabulous Baker Boys . In addition to working in film, Rogers has worked extensively for US television and has been involved in numerous television films and series , including Beauty and the Beast , Twin Peaks and Beverly Hills, 90210 . For his work he was nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy , where he won the trophy in 1987 for Max Headroom .
