The 40th Australian Championships were a tennis grass court tournament in the Grand Slam class , which was organized by the ILTF . It took place January 19-28, 1952 in Adelaide , Australia .
The defending champions in the singles were Dick Savitt in the men and Nancye Bolton in the women. In the men's doubles were Ken McGregor and Frank Sedgman , in the women's doubles Thelma Long and Nancye Bolton were the defending champions. In mixed, Thelma Long and George Worthington were the defending champions.
