The 28th Australian Championships were a Grand Slam tennis grass court tournament hosted by the ILTF . It took place in Melbourne , Australia from January 5 to 12, 1935 .
Defending champions in the singles were Fred Perry in the men and Joan Hartigan in the women. In the men's doubles Pat Hughes and Fred Perry were the defending champions , in the women's doubles Margaret Molesworth and Emily Westacott . In mixed, Joan Hartigan and Edgar Moon were the defending champions.
