Defending champions in the singles were Roy Emerson in the men and Nancy Richey in the women. In the men's doubles were John Newcombe and Tony Roche , in the women's doubles Lesley Turner / Judy Tegart were the defending champions. In mixed, Lesley Turner and Owen Davidson were the defending champions.
