Judy Tegart

Judy Tegart Dalton , AM (born December 12, 1937 in Melbourne ) is a former Australian tennis player .

Career

She was in 1968 in the Wimbledon final of the individual competition, which she lost to Billie Jean King . Furthermore, she won 15 double tournaments in her career. Judy Tegart won eight doubles competitions (alongside Margaret Smith Court ) and one mixed doubles competition at Grand Slam tournaments . She was able to win the title at least once in each of the four tournaments. In 1977 she ended her tennis career.

Tegart is one of the nine players, the Original 9 , who played the Virginia Slims Invitational in 1970 , hosted and sponsored by Gladys Heldman .
