Larry Stensvold

Larry Stensvold is an American sound engineer .

Life

Stensvold began his career in the film business in the early 1980s. His first film as a sound engineer was the short film A.WOL . In the 1980s he worked on a number of successful Hollywood productions , including The Flying Eye and Against Every Chance . In 1986 he and Chris Jenkins , Gary Alexander and Peter Handford received the Oscar in the Best Sound category for Out of Africa .

From the beginning of the 1990s he worked increasingly on TV series and TV films and was only very rarely involved in film projects. He was nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy for his television work, but never won the award.

His father was the cameraman Alan Stensvold (1908-1981).
