Gary Frank (actor)

Gary Frank (born October 9, 1950 in Spokane , Washington , USA ) is an American actor.

At the age of 13 he was seen in the US television series General Hospital . After a long hiatus, he appeared as a supporting actor in television films and series since 1974. In his first major leading role as the son of a series "Willie Lawrence" in the television series An American Family , which was shot from 1976 to 1980 , he made his breakthrough as a well-known actor in both the USA and Germany. In 1977 he received an Emmy for this role .

From 1980 he was hired for other leading roles, but his main occupation remained appearances in individual episodes of numerous television series. In 1997 he appeared as a guest star in the role of "Yedrin Dax" in the series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine .

Gary Frank has been married to television producer Carroll Newman, daughter of film composer Lionel Newman, since 1976. Their daughter is also an actor. She made her debut at the age of seven at the side of her father in the television film Courage for Love, which was also broadcast in Germany .
