Location of streets in Bergisch Gladbach

Gassen is a district in the Alt Refrath district of the city of Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Gassen is on Dolmanstrasse northeast of Junkersgut . Due to the increasing population, it forms a closed settlement area with the surrounding villages, so that it can no longer be perceived independently.

history

The place is mentioned by Leonard Goudhaire , who received the area around the quarry from Jan Wellem . This was also the owner of the Stummengut in der Gassen, also called Gassengut. In 1703 Goudhaire married Katharina Beckers vom Gassengut.

From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly listed on measuring table sheets as alleys or without a name.
