The Gauliga , correct: Gauklasse Hamburg 1944/45 was the third and last season of the Gauklasse Hamburg of the NSRL . The Hamburg Gauklasse was played again this season in a group of eleven, then ten teams, after the LSV Hamburg withdrew their team after three match days. The Gau championship was unbeaten by Hamburger SV , but the German football championship 1944/45 was no longer played due to the war.
At the latest with the capitulation and the subsequent occupation of Germany, the national football championships ended for the time being. In Hamburg, the Hamburg League was played at the local level from January 1946 . With the British zone championship , there was again a national football championship for clubs from northern Germany for the first time in 1947.
