Gavin Templeton (* 1978 in Atlanta ) is an American jazz musician of the modern creative ( saxophones , composition ).

Live and act

Templeton, who grew up in Reno, Nevada , took violin lessons at the age of five and switched to the alto saxophone a few years later . At the age of ten he was already involved in jam sessions in the jazz clubs of his hometown; At the age of 18 he was there with Wayne Shorter on stage. He studied Reno Jazz in the University of Nevada bachelor’s program . He completed his postgraduate studies at the California Institute of the Arts .

In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles . There belonged to the groups of Vinny Golia , Nels Cline , Peter Epstein , Daniel Rosenboom , Alan Ferber and Jose Gurria's Gurrisonic Orchestra; he is also on albums by Dr. Mint, Plotz! and to hear David Rosenboom . In 2012 Templeton released his debut album. His third album, Some Spinning, Some at Rest , recorded in the trio, received the highest rating from All About Jazz ,
