Vinny Golia
Vinny Golia (born March 1, 1946 in Bronx , New York City ) is an American saxophonist (soprano, baritone and tenor saxophone) and clarinetist as well as composer and band leader of free and creative jazz , free improvisation and contemporary music .

In the 1970s, Golia caused a stir as a multi-instrumentalist; He toured the United States with his smaller ensembles and big bands , and performed in Europe and Japan. In 1982 he formed the 37-musician Vinny Golia Large Ensemble , which recorded his compositions. He lives in Los Angeles and teaches at the California Institute of the Arts .
