The Egg area is a locality and, as the Eck area, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Hainfeld in the Lilienfeld district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 73 building areas with 58,739 m² and 84 gardens on 305,675 m² in the cadastral municipality of the Eck area , in 1989/1990 there were 76 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 170 and in 2009/2010 there were 110 buildings on 167 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 695 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 346 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 695 hectares and 362 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 703 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 341 hectares. The average soil climate in the Eck area is 29.7 (as of 2010).
