Geir Gulliksen (show jumper)

Geir Gulliksen (born January 9, 1960 in Ålesund ) is a Norwegian show jumper .

In April 2013, he is number 269 in the world rankings. In May 2011 it was ranked 143rd.

Career

Together with Morten Djupvik , Tony André Hansen and Stein Endresen , he won the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games . After a positive doping test from Hansen's horse Camiro , the team's medals were revoked . In 2001 Gulliksen was voted Sportsman of the Year.

In February 2012, following a riding accident a few days earlier, he was admitted to hospital with blood clots in his lungs.

Gulliksen lives in Lierskogen , is married and has two children. Both his daughter Victoria and his son Johan-Sebastian ride advanced level jumping competitions.
