The yellow-faced horseshoe bat ( Rhinolophus virgo ) is a species of bat native to the Philippines and belongs to the horseshoe bat family . It is closely related to the Sulawesi horseshoe bat ( Rhinolophus celebensis ).
The distribution area extends to the islands of Batan , Busuanga , Catanduanes , Cebu , Jolo , Leyte , Luzon , Maripipi , Mindanao , Negros , Palawan and Sibuyan .
The yellow-faced horseshoe name has been caught in caves several times and once in a hollow tree. The location was in the rainforest at an altitude of 925 to 1100 m. A specimen from the Kitanglad Mountains on Mindanao had a length of 73 mm, a tail length of 23 mm, a hind foot length of 8 mm, an ear length of 19 mm, a forearm length of 38 mm and a weight of 6 g.
