The Protestant community center Rollberge , built in 1972-1974 by Klaus Bergner, stands in the Titiseestraße 7 in Berlin district Waidmannslust the district Reinickendorf . It was on January 27, 1974 inaugurated .
history
The evangelical believers living in the Rollberge settlement have been celebrating services in a barrack since 1970 . The Rollberge parish was branched off from the parish of the Apostle Andreas Church in January 1976 and became independent. In 2001, the former parishes of Apostle Andreas and In den Rollbergen became the evangelical rock parish. They retained both sermon sites, the community center Rollberge in Titiseestraße 7 and the church on the way Eichhorster 56th
At the end of September 2015, the community center was closed due to increased PCB pollution.
Building description
The building complex , with a concrete -clad, violet coated reinforced concrete - skeleton is composed of two- or three-storey building structures of various sizes. In addition to the church interior, some of which is paneled with wood, and the community hall, it contains rooms for the community office, apartments and a day-care center . The central room is a foyer . The adjoining church room with around 200 seats is three-fold in height. High glass doors lead from the foyer into a terraced inner courtyard. A small bronze bell from 1979 hangs in the bell chamber of the clock tower , which sounds on the strike note e ′ ′ ′. With a diameter of 41 cm and a height of 33 cm plus a crown of 6 cm, it weighs only 53 kg. The founder is unknown.
