Genaro Alamilla Arteaga

Genaro Alamilla Arteaga (born June 21, 1914 in Mexico City , † November 20, 2004 ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Papantla .

Life

Genaro Alamilla Arteaga was ordained a priest on October 10, 1943 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 13, 1974 Bishop of Papantla . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Delegate in Mexico, Mario Pio Gaspari , on September 19 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Ernesto Corripio y Ahumada , Archbishop of Antequera , and Emilio Abascal y Salmerón , Archbishop of Jalapa .

On January 26, 1980, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation from the Papantla diocese and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Mexico City .

On October 10, 1989, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
