Geoffrey Lafarge (born December 19, 1989 in Chamonix ) is a former French Nordic combined skier .

Career

Geoffrey Lafarge began his international career in two FIS races on December 10th and 11th, 2005 in St. Moritz , where he took 56th place twice. On January 13th and 14th, 2007 Lafarge made his debut with places 49 and 43 at the competition in Chaux-Neuve in the B-World Cup (today the Continental Cup ). On September 13th and 14th, 2008 he also started in Kranj for the first time in the Alpine Cup . Since then, regular competitions have followed in both competitions.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso , Lafarge won silver in the team competition with the French team. In the individual competition he reached 28th place.

On December 12, 2010, Lafarge won his first Continental Cup competition in Soldier Hollow , Utah . In Kranj , Predazzo , Wisła and Tchaikovsky he was able to win other competitions. Thanks to further good results, Lafarge took second place in the overall standings at the end of the 2011/12 season.

At the French Championships 2012 in Courchevel , Lafarge won the silver medal behind Jason Lamy Chappuis and in front of Sébastien Lacroix .

His only World Cup participation was in the individual competition of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme from the large hill, where he finished 28th.

On January 15 and 16, 2011, Lafarge made his debut in the Nordic Combined World Cup in Seefeld in Tyrol with places 50 and 46 . His best World Cup placement was a ninth place on January 31, 2015 in Val di Fiemme .

Geoffrey Lafarge lives in his hometown Chamonix .
