Georg A. Profé

Georg Alfred Profé (born January 22, 1908 in Leipzig , † 1977 in Berlin ; also known as Georg Profe and Georg A. Profe ) was a German actor , film producer and director .

Life

After completing secondary school , Georg A. Profé completed a commercial apprenticeship and then received training at Helene Lackner's drama school in Berlin. Until 1931 he initially worked in a commercial position and from 1932 turned to the acting field. From 1939 he was also assistant director and production manager at Bavaria , Euphono-Film and Märkische Film GmbH Berlin. After his military service (1943 to 1945), he became the owner of a guest performance director in 1947 and worked from 1950 to 1955 as head of production at Meridian-Film GmbH.

From 1933 Georg A. Profé also worked regularly in film productions . These included the feature films The Muzzle by Erich Engel with Ralph Arthur Roberts , Hilde Weissner and Will Quadflieg and Friedemann Bach by Traugott Müller with Gustaf Gründgens , Eugen Klöpfer and Wolfgang Liebeneiner . Also in the 1960s he could be seen in the hit films Im schwarzen Rößl by Franz Antel with Karin Dor , Hans von Borsody and Peter Kraus and Die lustigen Vagabunden by Kurt Nachmann with Peter Kraus, Peter Vogel and Ann Smyrner . He played his last role in 1968 in the Edgar Wallace film Der Gorilla von Soho by Alfred Vohrer with Horst Tappert , Uschi Glas and Uwe Friedrichsen .

Georg A. Profé was married to the actress and singer Ilse Hülper for the first time.
