Georg Ackermann (politician)

Georg Ackermann (born May 4, 1897 in Darmstadt , † April 4, 1964 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary and advanced training school, Ackermann worked as a cigar maker in the cigar industry. From 1925 to 1928 he worked as a businessman in the construction industry and then worked as an employee of the German Tobacco Workers Association .

After the National Socialists came to power in 1933, Ackermann was dismissed for political reasons. He then worked as an hour bookkeeper and temporary assistant for tax matters.

politics

Ackermann was a member of the SPD. During the Weimar Republic , Ackermann was a member of the local council and the district council from 1920 to 1933.

Ackermann was a member of the Hessian state parliament from February 9, 1949, when he replaced the retired MP Wilhelm Dengler , until his death.

Ackermann served from 1951 to 1963 as district administrator for the Erbach district .
