Georg Bondi Publishing House

The George Bondi publishing house was established in March 1895 by Georg Bondi (1865-1935) in Dresden founded. At the end of 1896 the publishing house moved to Berlin . Helmut Küpper joined the publishing house in 1935 and took it over after Bondi's death in 1936; In 1938 he became the sole owner of the publishing house. Renaming of the publisher:

In 1946 the publishing house was reopened - with a British license - in Bad Godesberg , and from 1950 with headquarters in Düsseldorf and Munich . In 1956, after Küpper's death, his widow Ursula Küpper continued to run the publishing house until, in 1978, parts of the publishing house "Helmut Küpper vormals Georg Bondi" were acquired by Ernst Klett oHG .

The Georg Bondi Verlag became known to a wider readership through the publication of Stefan Georges Blätter für die Kunst from 1898 and the publication of the books Stefan Georges illustrated by Melchior Lechter .

The publisher's signet changed over the years and was partly designed by renowned artists, for example by Otto Eckmann in 1896 and by Melchior Lechter in 1908 . It often shows the monogram "GB".
