Georg Friedrich Graf zu Solms-Laubach (* 7. March 1899 in Laubach ; † 13. May 1969 ibid) was formally a Hessian nobleman from the noble Solms-Laubach and member of the first chamber of the estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Solms-Laubach was the son of the landlord Otto Graf zu Solms-Laubach (1860–1904) and his wife Emma, ​​nee Princess zu Ysenburg and Büdingen (1870–1944). Solms-Laubach, a Protestant denomination, married Princess von Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (1905–1982), the daughter of former Prince Karl zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich and his wife Emma, ​​born Princess , on September 13, 1924 in Lich Johanna to Stolberg-Wernigerode.

With the early death of his father in 1904, he took over the rulership, which also included a mandate in the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . Since he was still a minor at the age of six, his uncle Karl Graf zu Solms-Laubach and 1906-1918 his uncle Wilhelm Graf zu Solms-Laubach (1861-1936) took on the mandate for him. The First Chamber of the Estates ended with the November Revolution of 1918. In 1925, together with Karl Rudolf Werner Best (1903–1989), he founded the non-partisan "National Bloc in Hesse" in Mainz .
