Otto Graf zu Solms-Laubach (to distinguish himself from the former ruling Count of Solms-Laubach Otto III ) (born May 26, 1860 in Laubach ; † September 9, 1904, ibid) was a Hessian landlord and member of the first chamber of the estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Solms-Laubach was the son of the landlord Friedrich Graf zu Solms-Laubach (1833-1900) and his wife Marianne nee Countess zu Stolberg-Wernigerode (1836-1910). Solms-Laubach, who was a Protestant denomination, married on April 14, 1898 in Büdingen Emma, ​​born Princess zu Ysenburg and Büdingen (1870–1944), the daughter of Prince Bruno of Ysenburg and Büdingen , and his wife Bertha, born Countess of Castell-Rüdenhausen . The marriage resulted in two sons. The elder, Georg Friedrich Graf zu Solms-Laubach (1899–1969) followed him formally as a registrar and member of parliament. But since he was a minor until the November Revolution, he was represented in the state parliament. The second son Bernhard Bruno Graf zu Solms-Laubach (1900–1938) became director of the theater on Nollendorfplatz in Berlin and from 1931–1933 a member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse ( NSDAP ).

Solms-Laubach served in the Prussian army and left there as a Royal Prussian Rittmeister a. D. In 1900 he took over the class rule. A mandate in the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse, which he held from 1900 to 1904, was associated with the state rule.
