Georg Friedrich Victor Heinrich Joseph Wilhelm Maria Johannes Emanuel Prince of Solms-Braunfels (born December 13, 1890 in Frankfurt am Main , † November 30, 1970 in Braunfels ) was the 7th and last Prince of Solms-Braunfels .

Prince Georg Friedrich zu Solms-Braunfels came from the Hessian noble family Solms-Braunfels , which was raised to the rank of imperial prince in 1742 . His parents were Georg zu Solms-Braunfels (1836-1891) and Donna Emanuela Gallone dei Principi di Tricase Moliterno (1854-1936). He married Donna Beatrice Contessa Saluzzo (1888–1976) in Naples on May 8, 1913 .

Life

In 1915, Prince Georg Friedrich zu Solms-Braunfels became the registrar of the Braunfels estate by inheritance. This was linked to a hereditary seat in the Prussian manor house . Although he was listed as a member of the manor house, he had not joined it. 1915–1918 he was a member of the first chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

In 1963 he and his wife Beatrice were made honorary citizens of the city of Braunfels . In 1986 the same honor was given to his daughter Gabriele and his son-in-law Hans-Georg Graf von Oppersdorff-Solms-Braunfels.
