Georg Heinrich von Müller

Georg Heinrich Müller , later von Müller , (born August 23, 1750 in Stuttgart ; † September 21, 1820 in Heilbronn ; ennobled after 1815) was a theologian , university professor and general superintendent of Heilbronn.

Life

Müller first attended grammar school in Stuttgart and then the monastery schools in Blaubeuren and Bebenhausen before studying Protestant theology in Tübingen . There he was enrolled on November 8, 1765. At the University of Tübingen , he was on Dec. 2, 1767 Bachelor , on October 18, 1769 Magister and on 23 February 1794 for Dr. theol. PhD. From 1774 he worked as a repetitionist at the Tübingen monastery , then from 1776 as a preacher and professor at the Hohen Carlsschule in Stuttgart. In 1779 he was appointed court chaplain in Stuttgart.

In 1793 Müller went to the University of Tübingen , where he became professor of theology and head of a catechetical and homilitic practice institute. In Tübingen he became city ​​pastor and special superintendent .

From 1814 until his death, Müller was prelate and general superintendent of Heilbronn and thus from 1819 also a member of the second chamber of the Württemberg estates .
