Georg Ludescher

Georg Ludescher (born October 13, 1931 in Röthis ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Ludescher was a delegated member of the Austrian Federal Council from 1982 to 1992 by the Vorarlberg Landtag and was its Chairman in the first half of 1982 and President of the Federal Council in the second half of 1990 .

Georg Ludescher was born on October 13, 1931 in the Rheintalgemeinde Röthis in Vorarlberg . After completing compulsory schooling, he attended the commercial vocational school in Bregenz from 1946 to 1949, specializing in electrical engineering. In 1953 he passed the license examination for the electrical installation business , and in 1955 he opened an electrical installation company in Röthis as an independent entrepreneur. From 1967 Ludescher belonged to the journeyman's examination committee for electrical engineering, from 1970 to 1980 he was its chairman. Ludescher also made his professional qualifications available from 1973 to 1980 as a court-sworn expert . From 1975 to 1981 Georg Ludescher was guild master for electrical, radio and television technicians in Vorarlberg and a member of the federal guild committee. In 1978 Ludescher passed the Matura at HTL Bregenz in the second educational path . In 1982 he became vice-president of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Vorarlberg Economic Association .

On January 1, 1982, the Vorarlberg state parliament sent Georg Ludescher to Vienna for the first time as a member of the Federal Council. In 1986 he took over the chairmanship of the Federal Council in the first half of the year, as well as in the second half of 1990. On September 14, 1992 Ludescher resigned from his position as Federal Councilor. Georg Ludescher bears the honorary professional title Commercial Councilor .
