Georg Stetefeld

Georg Stetefeld (born April 16, 1883 in Nuremberg ; † May 21, 1966 ) was a Hessian politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Georg Stetefeld attended elementary school and business school and then did technical and commercial training in the construction industry. Until 1914 he held managerial positions in various printing companies. From 1914 to 1918 he did military service . From 1919 to 1921 he was managing director of the DDP and from 1922 to 1924 in the Reich Finance Administration. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was dismissed as "politically unreliable". From 1934 to 1939 he worked in the liberal professions and from 1939 to 1943 he was again a member of the armed forces.

Georg Stetefeld was mayor of Wächtersbach from 1924 to 1934 , before he was dismissed as politically unreliable by the National Socialists.

After the Second World War he was one of the founders of the FDP, which initially appeared in Hesse as the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). 1945 to 1946 he was district administrator in Gelnhausen .

From February 26, 1946 to July 14, 1946 he was a member of the appointed Advisory State Committee Greater Hesse and from December 1, 1946 to November 30, 1950, a member of the Hessian State Parliament. From March 10, 1947 to September 30, 1949 he was a member of the Parliamentary Council of the State Council of the American Zone .
