Heinrich Kress

Heinrich Kreß (born August 1, 1902 in Hanau ; † December 4, 1985 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Heinrich Kreß did a commercial apprenticeship after elementary school and worked as an employee in trade and industry. Later he was the founder of a wholesaler and most recently worked as a book auditor.

In his youth he was active in the workers' youth and in the Wandervogel movement, later in church life. After the Second World War , he co-founded the CDU in the Hanau district in 1945 and was honorary managing director there. From July 1, 1946 to January 31, 1968 Heinrich Kreß was district administrator in the district of Gelnhausen and from December 1, 1946 to November 30, 1950 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament.
