Austrian Alpine Ski Championships 1988

At the Austrian Alpine Ski Championships in 1988 , the technical disciplines slalom and giant slalom took place on February 1st and 2nd on the Hochkar in the municipality of Göstling an der Ybbs . Originally, these competitions should have been held in Hollenstein an der Ybbs . The Super-Gs were planned for February 14th in Lackenhof am Ötscher , but had to be relocated to Eben im Pongau due to lack of snow . The runs were held on February 25th in Oberndorf in Tirol . Because of the Olympic Winter Games, there were no top runners in the speed competitions. In the men's and women's giant slalom, the simultaneous inauguration for the games in the Vienna Hofburg prevented Olympic participants from taking part. Only in the men's giant slalom and the women's slalom were Olympic participants at the start.
