Georg Zschornack

Georg Zschornack ( Upper Sorbian Jurij Čornak ; born November 23, 1934 in Neudörfel ; † February 25, 2015 ) was a Sorbian engineering economist , entrepreneur and politician ( DBD and FDP ).

education and profession

Zschornack completed an apprenticeship as a miller in Dreikretscham from 1949 to 1952 . He was trained as a master miller at the miller's school in Dresden until 1954. In the early 1970s, he studied engineering economics at the agricultural engineering school in Bautzen .

From 1952 to 1959 he worked as a miller in his parents' company in Zescha . From 1960 to 1988 he was head of the concentrated feed mixing plant in VEG Tierproduktion Königswartha and from 1988 to 1990 director of VEG Tierproduktion Gaussig . Since 1990 he has been the owner or co-owner of the Zescha GmbH Kraftfutterwerk GmbH.

politics

Zschornack belonged to the Democratic Peasant Party (DBD) since 1960. From 1960 to 1990 he was their local chairman in Zescha and a member of the Neschwitz community council. From 1988 to 1990 he was chairman of the DBD in the Bautzen district .

In March 1990, Zschornack was elected to the People's Chamber in the Dresden constituency for the DBD . In the course of the dissolution of the DBD in August 1990, he joined the FDP. In October 1990 he was one of the 144 MPs sent to the Bundestag by the People's Chamber . He was a member of the Bundestag until December 1990.
