Georg von Steinmann (District Administrator)

Georg Hans Ludwig von Steinmann (born November 12, 1866 in Thorn , † March 1938 in Görlitz ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Georg Hans Ludwig von Steinmann was born as the son of the then District Administrator of Thorn Georg Franz Maximilian Steinmann . He studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . In 1885 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . After completing his studies, he entered the Prussian civil service, completed the government traineeship and became a government assessor. From 1898 to 1901 he was district administrator for the district of Hünfeld . In 1901 he became district administrator for the district of Glatz . In 1913 he said goodbye to be elected head and association director of the Raiffeisen organization in Breslau, where he has lived since then.

At the First World War, the headquarters of Steinmann took from 1914 to 1916 as operations officer and commander of the General Command of the Landwehr Corps and the Army Department Woyrsch part. In 1917 he was department head at the economic staff of the Romanian military administration . Steinmann's first marriage was to Elisabeth von Bonin († 1899) and his second marriage to Else Fenner. Most recently he lived in Görlitz.
