George Furth

George Furth (born December 14, 1932 in Chicago , Illinois , † August 11, 2008 in Santa Monica , California ) was an American actor , author and Tony Award winner.

Life

George Furth was born as George Schweinfurth in Chicago in 1932 to Evelyn Tuerk and George Schweinfurth Sen. He studied drama and drama at Northwestern University , then did his master's degree from Columbia University in New York . In 1961, Furth made his debut as an actor on Broadway in A Cook for Mr. General and in the musical Hot Spot . Furth later became known through numerous appearances on television programs. He starred in television series such as Bonanza , Tammy, the houseboat girl , All in the Family , LA Law , Dr. Quinn - a doctor out of passion and murder is her hobby with. He also appeared in the feature films Two bandits (1969) and On the Highway is hell broke loose (The Cannonball Run) from 1980 on.

George Furth died on August 11, 2008 of pneumonia .
