George Johansson
George Johansson (* 1946 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish writer and journalist . He was best known for his books for children and young people .
Life
Johansson started working as a journalist at the age of 16. From 1979 to 1982 he was editor-in-chief of the magazine Teknikens Värld and from 1983 to 1987 editorial secretary of the business newspaper Dagens Industri . He has also written for Aftonbladet , Månadsjournalen and Vi, among others .
At the same time Johansson worked as a writer. His first children's book, När ljuset försvann från Elins hus , appeared in 1978. He also wrote technology books for adults and science fiction novels. Many of his books have been translated into other languages and have also been successful in Finland , Denmark and Norway . Outside Scandinavia, Johansson became known through the 1986 children 's book Eriks Hase (original: Eriks kanin ). This was also published in German in 1989 by Ars Edition . It is about a five-year-old boy who overcomes his fear of falling asleep.
In the 1990s, Johansson published a series of children's books about the character Willy Werkel (in the original: Mulle Meck ). These books have also been translated into German. Computer games, audio books and short cartoons with Willy Werkel have also appeared.
Appreciation
Willy Werkel's vehicle, the car, was also exhibited by the Junibacken Museum from 2002 to 2003. The exhibitions continued from the Hälsinglands Museum in Hudiksvall . Willy Werkel also has a carpentry workshop for children in Nää's old workshop in Lerum .
Uppbrott från Jorden and Datorernas död were also edited as radio plays for the radio.
