Hans Gailling

Hans Gailling (born December 5, 1928 in Munich ) is a German film architect , set designer and costume designer .

Live and act

Gailling had attended the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown Munich and received further training at the Technical University . He began his professional career in 1960.

Since the end of the same decade, he has mainly worked with leading representatives of young German film , including Hans-Jürgen Syberberg , Peter Lilienthal , Hans W. Geißendörfer , George Moorse , Gabi Kubach , Klaus Emmerich , Volker Schlöndorff and the directing duo Alf Brustellin and Bernhard Sinkel . His television activities brought him together several times with Helmut Dietl , for whom he created the decorations for the 80s series successes Monaco Franze - The Eternal Stenz and Kir Royal . In addition, as an outfitter, Gailling also oversaw entertainment shows such as the Prix ​​Jeunesse finals in 1978 . He also designed several television language courses artistically ( Les Gammas , Ciao amici, Avanti avanti ).

Gailling, who was awarded the gold film tape for his performance for The Girls' War in 1977 , is married to the costume designer Barbara Gailling (* 1931).
