George Owino Audi (born April 24, 1981 in Nairobi ) is a Kenyan soccer player who has played for Mathare United since 2015 and is a member of the Kenyan national soccer team .

Career

George Owino began his career in 2002 in the youth of Tusker FC , where he joined the professional team in 2004 and played there until 2004. From there he moved to Tanzania to Simba SC . In July 2008 he moved to the Ethiopian association Saint-George SA . In July 2009, on the advice of Antoine Hey, he was invited to a trial training session at the German club Fortuna Düsseldorf . His goal was always to play in Europe . On July 28th, he was supposed to sign a contract with Fortuna. But the change did not materialize and he went back to Ethiopia . But on August 18th, Owino moved back to Tanzania for Young Africans FC . On July 1, 2010, he returned to his homeland and joined Sofapaka FC . In April 2011 he injured his knee in a cup game against the Ulinzi Stars and is out for a long time.

National team

Owino has played in the shirt of the Kenyan national football team since 2005 , in which he played 26 games in which he scored one goal.
