Georges Fonghoro

Georges Fonghoro (born June 30, 1958 in Yélé , Mali ; † September 22, 2016 ) was a Malian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Mopti .

Life

Georges Fonghoro received on 30 December 1987 by the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On August 30, 1999, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Mopti. The Archbishop of Bamako , Jean Zerbo , donated him episcopal ordination on January 8, 2000 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of San , Jean-Gabriel Diarra , and the Bishop of Nouakchott , Martin Happe MAfr .
